...instead of blowing $2 billion a week on destroying Iraq, and having our soldiers shot at and blown up... ...we sent those resources to those countries devastated by the recent tsunamis, and helped those folks bury their dead, care for their injured, and rebuild their houses and lives? 140,000 US community rebuilders, with the bucks to do the job the right way. Imagine the impact. We do have our priorities, don't we..... Why should we care about these folks, anyway. They obviously aren't white and most are very poor, certainly not people that we are used to helping out. Speaking of tsunamis, my daughter arrived in Colombo and is heading to Sumatra with a plane load of medical supplies along with four of her response team members. They were taken on a aerial survey of the area hit in Sri Lanka and she said the devastation is just unbelievable. And she's seen a thing or two in her young life.
