On a dual station (cabin/flybridge) Morse s/twin s control system wired in
series we have a problem. If you push the port throttle forward on the
flybridge the throttle opens, but if you pull back the throttle does not
come back. The throttle is able to be pulled back in the cabin. The
throttle works perfectly fine in the cabin. On a visual inspection the
cable between the flybridge and cabin looks fine and looks as though it
moves when moving the flybridge port lever.
Thoughts???

Broken internal cable?
Just a guess.
The sheath keeps the cable close enough to push it when you push the
throttle. but when you pull it its broke and your pulling on air.

The flybridge - which is at the remote end of the Morse, has a loose
clamp on the cable outer at the power quadrant casting

The pin has sheared in the cable.

You are the last person who should be giving out advice on this group.
Espcially something that remotely touches safety.
I suggest you stick to your Bush bashing, name calling and lying.
Your advice will be stricken from the record.

No that's not the problem, pushing will bubble out the cable, no stress
on the return. Think up anothe stupid answer.

I have the same setup. Decided that the cables had seen enough (Morse
red jacket) and started looking for their replacement. I settled on the
teleflex xtreme cables.
Prior to, the controls were sticky at the flybridge helm. With a little
maintenance on both upper and lower controls and the new cables, it's a
dream come true. Push 'em back and forth with one finger, no sticking.
If you end up replacing, I recommend the xtreme cables. Still silky
smooth 4 years later.
