How much play is allowable between the strut and shaft on an old 165hp Crusader IB? Gordon I'm not sure what you mean when you state "strut". If you mean the P bracket that contains the cutlass bearing, then the answer is "zero". Sounds like you need a new cutlass bearing. Also check the shaft for wear.
