I have just ordered nearly $1000 in epoxy and glass and fillers for
this project so I guess I am either committed or should be committed to
an insane asylum. I will attempt to build a 20' Tollman Skiff although
I am still not sure what I will use to power her. How many boats does
a person need? I can blame the people in this group for contributing
to this insanity by providing encouragement. Still, I suppose it beats
drinking, womanizing or sports cars. With 2 MiniCup sailboats, a canoe,
a homemade dinghy, a 28' sailboat an inflateable kayak and a Laser
sailboat I am rebuilding, maybe a 20' power boat isnt too
excessive......or is it?

Hi and welcome to the builder's club! It's fun and you won't regret it.
Just for your information, there's also a Yahoo group set up for Tolman
builders:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tolmanskiff
Stop by ...lots of builders there and they share all the info you ask for
and a lot more ...sigh. It's a good group.
Brian
PS: BTW, you need 39 boats. It's just a rule.

How do you decide which one to use? I've only made 5 and tend to use the
exsisting 4 in rotation to be fair to the boats. I like and enjoy them
all.
