Does any one have any experience with these devices. I understand with these
you don't need battery switches, combiners or isolators.

Thanks

Some people drink from the fountain of knowledge, others just gargle.

To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is
research.

I have a DuoCharge from Balmar, which I think is superior, if I
understand everything properly (not a given!)  An echo charge
basically tracks the charge profile of the main battery on a second
battery.  The DuoCharge is more like a small regulated 12v charger
that runs off of 14v.  Any time the voltage of the main battery gets
high enough to show it is charging, the DuoCharge turns on and becomes
a small charger for your starting battery.  It would not be
appropriate for a boat with 2 large battery banks, as the output
current is limited to something like 15 amps.  If you want to see a
diagram of my revamped electrical system (very much a work in progress
-- for instance I haven't fused the system properly yet) look here:

To reply, lose the capitals and do the obvious.

Take a look at cpRepeater, my NMEA data integrator, repeater, and

Why spend that amount of money on a 14 amp Echo combiner when Defender
has 75 amp combiners for under $55?
And the 75 amp one is bi-directional so it will also charge the
starting battery when the shore power is charging the house battery.
All you need is a single output charger making the total capacity
available to both banks.
And the 75 amp one comes with an UNLIMITED warranty from the
manufacturer.  Over 26,000 sold since 1992.  (I work for the
manufacturer!)
You can see various installation examples and schematics on the owner's
manual - download from http://www.yandina.com/acrobats/C100Data.pdf
