Hello everyone!
I recently purchased a used bow thruster without the aluminum tubin
and have priced them thru Volvo Penta and Vestus and they aren't cheap
I was wondering if anyone out there had the same situation and if the
were successful obtaining a tube from another source? We're talkin
over 9" (250mm).
Also, could I get away with fiberglass instead of aluminum?

Any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I laid mine up using a piece of 8" PVC pipe as a mold.

Had 6 layers of 34 OZ triaxial glass and epoxy for final tube.

Would NEVER consider metal for this application.

Have fun.
