Anyone know where Simon Brooke has gone? He has been a regular here for
as long as I can remember but doesn't seem to have been around for a few
weeks. While we almost invariably disagree, he usually has something
interesting to say and I'm missing his contributions.

It's summer. I guess he's sailing rather than posting.

I'm trying to sell a house in Oz. The sale fell through after 3 months
because the guy had no money and wasn't credit worthy. It's now winter
there and house prices have fallen a bit.

Guy Fawkes has disappeared too. There was a GF posting about legal
actions to uk.rec.gardening recently, it could be our GF.

<fx: snif....> and he was such an energetic soul... to wear him down to the
levels of uk.rec.gardening... simply 'orrible.

Possibly keeping a low profile with his legal proceedings underway. I
can't say I miss the battery advertiser. I don't remember Simon
disappearing for weeks before though.

Simon stopped posting yonks ago. Last contribution was during the great
driving into the wind squabble.

Nothing contentious since then so I guess it's just been a little too
quiet for him.

After your disappearance, which we put down to you getting lost
forever on your cruise due to your lack of RYA certificates :-)

Where is Ken? Datrmoor, Broadmoor or Guantanamo Bay?

No. For someone who can't navigate I'm pretty good at finding my way
around in a boat!

I'm told once you've f**ked a mythical creature you never go back.

A rather shabby bilge keeler is a slightly different kettle of oysters

Criminal Record Beureau...  everyone who works (or is about to work) with
kids or vulnerable folk have to have them done... just to make sure they're
not employing a pervert or perhaps worse a potential suicide bomber!!!...
no fear there then!

I just hope that the day they stumble accross my UKRM/UKRS posts their sense
of humour is going good!

Due to start my teaching degree in September, and though I'd like to say
"The little shites wont know what's hit 'em" I'm under little illusion that
it'll be me who'll be tearing my hair out!

I thought about that when I read that they wanted to keep all e-mails
for 5 years.

I wondered how long CN would last before being committed.

Morning had broken. I found a rather battered tube of Araldite
