The issue here is, WHY A KAYAK OR CANOE MUST GIVE THE RIGHT OF WAY TO

called it correctly from the beginning?

Yanmar YSE12 water pump - recondition or replace?05 Sep 2008 13:09 GMT13
I have just replaced the seal and bearings on my  Yanmar YSE12 water pump.
It now pumps water and does not leak, but it doesn't seem to produce enough
pressure to push water through the exhaust. The impellor is not new but
looks fine. My question is, what else can I do to ...

Just looked at Skip's spot log. He's left the anchorage inside Coecles

LIS. Via Email, he had mentioned going to Three Mile harbor while out
between the forks, but apparently he has changed his plans. I advised
Smart decision by Zac05 Sep 2008 13:57 GMT6
I see Zac had to turn back from his departure from Port Moresby because the
engine failed to start.  Smart move.  Better to get it fixed by the people
who should have just fixed it than sail into an unknown port with it niot
working.  Also smart not start a long leg to a place ...

Should I Use a Transom Jackplate on an Older Boat05 Sep 2008 08:50 GMT1
I have an '82 Sea Ox 20ft WA that suits my needs.  (Probably will only boat
another 6-8 years.)  Anyway, the '88 Evinrude 150hp 20"shaft engine is on
last legs and unreliable.   I'm thinking of buying a gently used 2001-2003
replacement 150hp outboard, but almost all worth ...

I recently picked up a Glastron Alpha which will need a large amount

mercruiser 165 hp inline 6 gm31 Aug 2008 04:59 GMT1
I just purchased a 1972 aristocraft 19, and the owner says the fellow
he bought it from put a 1985 mercruiser 165 hp
inline 6 4.1 litre in the boat. I thought mercruiser stopped using
that engine in 1976 or so.

I am looking for a fixed mount gps to interface with my on board laptop and

Any recomendations ?
Uniden Radio & Lowrance GPS03 Sep 2008 20:23 GMT-
I have interfaced my Lowrance 7200 GPS to my Uniden 625C VHF radio. The DSC
feature is working fine from the GPS to the radio. When I send my position
to another vessel, the LAT/LONG is truncated to xx.xx.000 - the position is
not sending the decimal degree data.
