Blisters on fiberglass yachts are sort of like Bobsprit. They show up only after the work has been done. Extensive study on blisters has shown the following: a.. It is not possible to effectively solve the blistering problem of a hull that is water permeable.

During the past few months (when I was boatless), I saw an article on the web of how to build your own auto-furl. Now that I am no longer boatless, I regret not having bookmarked it to at least see how it worked.

I'm looking at replacing my VHF which has developed an intermittent fault with a DSC radio. Looking on the net I can get one from the US for $99.95, considerably cheaper than the UK equivalents, even when you add on VAT.

I took the whole week off and went sailing. Was going to see how far south I could sail and be back to Annapolis in time to watch the 'Schooner Race' start. Left the slip Sat. afternoon, nice breeze. Sailed to Rock Hall, anchored up Swan Creek.
