Simulator Software31 Jul 2004 21:39 GMT1
I looked at some sailing simulator software several years ago and it was all
pretty bad. Is something decent now available? I'm especially interested in
the effects of sail trim in different conditions on my Pearson Flyer.

Sail for sale31 Jul 2004 20:49 GMT2
I've got a hanked foresail that used to belong to a Macwester 26. It's still
very useable, and it's got all of the fittings to be hoisted up a wire
forestay.
Looking for £20.00.
Sailing in a fleet31 Jul 2004 20:19 GMT26
Anyone every sailed in a fleet of boats?
On Thursday, I balanced the boat on a close
haul and snuck up on the kids sitting in the bow
while the boat steered itself, and waited to see
Lance Wins # 631 Jul 2004 17:48 GMT58
In True Texas fasion Lance took the Tour De France for the 6th strait

President Bush gave him a call from the Western Whitehouse here in
Texas to let him know us Texans think his preformance was "awesome".
Mac 26x for sailing speed31 Jul 2004 13:23 GMT30
Well, I was sailing on Lake Mead with a friend and we were in his South
Coast 26'a and we were having a fun race against a bunch of Mac 26'Xers and
the water was like glass and the winds was almost nonexistent. We were ahead
of everyone, then this old salt who in one of the Max ...

Really!  It's a sailing related question?31 Jul 2004 04:11 GMT8
Won't keep you long from the main thrust of .asa but I'm compelled to ask
advice on a sailing question?  REALLY?  Imagine that!
I've done a ton of research and come up with several 'candidate' props for
the boat.  They are all of the self-feathering variety.  Max-Prop,
We got stomped31 Jul 2004 02:52 GMT7
Hopefully will pull in at least one flag at Bay Week, finished 3rd across
the line last night, corrected to last. The skipper didn't say much about
it, but does anyone out there know the weight limit for a 39' boat. Is it
length dependent or what? Several of us were commenting on ...
refrigeration sight glass30 Jul 2004 23:42 GMT3
I have a mid 90's engine driven holding plate system that I'm guessing isn't
running as well as it should.  I don't have any documentation and am at a
bit of a loss.  The sight glass (sporlan sa-12fm) has a green dot and looks
half full of liquid and bubbling when the compressor is ...

Can anyone tell me how realistic Sail Sim 4.2 is and how it compares to

Can I add ballast to my 470 so I can singlehand it more easily?  If
so, what would be the best way to do it?
Thanks

GLC Farewell Issue30 Jul 2004 10:19 GMT1
It is my sad duty to inform you all that Great Lakes Cruiser will
soon be closing up shop, for good.  With ad revenues at all time lows
and insufficient CD sales to keep ourselves afloat, I have been forced
to make the decision to cease publication.
