Captain Neal is leaving soon, so all you virtual sailors will need
something to occupy your time.
Seems there are only a few real sailors in this group, and Ol' Thom
won't sail if the weather's slightly inclimate, Scotty' frozen out and

feel I must comment for your safety and that of your

Scilly to Medway.31 Mar 2005 12:04 GMT4
I need to get new boat back from Holyhead to the Medway at some point

How wet sexoring31 Mar 2005 05:35 GMT6

Sea Plowing31 Mar 2005 05:33 GMT2
Here in the Bay the mud is 6-8 feet thick. I l.ike my Keel deep as
possiable so some times I plow deep tracks thru the mud.
If my boat were Plastic with a lead keel I might damage the keel, Since
it's steel it's OK.
Flux Gate Compass31 Mar 2005 05:22 GMT3

Can anyone explain the process of calibrating and setting a flux gate
compass?
I've seen people running in circles on this one.
