Strange winged sailboat31 Jul 2005 14:24 GMT4
Last week an odd boat sold on Ebay;  it was a single-hander, about fourteen

Beginner(ish) question30 Jul 2005 20:15 GMT16
I wonder if anyone can give me a little help here.
I used to do a bit of boating about 25 years ago, mainly dinghy
sailing (not racing !) with a bit of pottering about in motor boats
and small cruisers (~20ft) but, due to various commitments over the

I am currently purchasing an old Ballerina in need of tlc but generally

VHF Channels - UK & Europe28 Jul 2005 14:58 GMT4
I hope someone can help - I read somewhere recently that in Holland some
marinas operate on channels that are blocked on UK sets - was it CH31a which
is used by the UK search & rescue services?
If I remember correctly, it was mentioned in one of the UK sailing magazines
Want To Buy - Moody 4428 Jul 2005 14:03 GMT13
By the end of August I will be ready to buy my dream liveaboard yacht
and have narrowed it down to a Moody 44.
If anyone knows of one for sale, I would be interested, and could save a
brokers fees for the seller, (probably the best part of £10,000).

Bluto: Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is!
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
Otter: Germans?
