| gOING sAILING! | 30 Jun 2006 22:51 GMT | 1 |
For the 3rd time this week, we're off for a nice sail!!! Tonight we're working on getting Thomas to sleep on board. He's so well balanced on board, it's amazing! 22 months and he can easily get up and down the steep steps. Underway, he's really sure of himself! But he's pretty

| Beneteau First 35s5 Review | 30 Jun 2006 21:33 GMT | 41 |
This is my honest review of the 35s5, a work still in progress for our new 35s5 website soon to be up and running. Comments welcome...I expect some useful ones from YOU, Bob C. Most others will just troll. The Beneteau First Series 35s5 1988-1994 430 hulls produced

| Ever see the picture Cabinboy Rob took of the 35s5's Navigation stool? | 30 Jun 2006 16:18 GMT | 2 |
What a dangerious item. Are all 35s5 so lame? It's in the way, and the base is molded into that thin hull. It's worse than any standing pipe in an engine room. Ok for use at the dock... but useless offshore.

| Bobsprit's Steamroller | 30 Jun 2006 16:13 GMT | 1 |
Bobsprit's once mighty steamroller has now turned into a Kia mini-van. Instead of rolling over this group and flattening all in his way, he now worries about knocking the wheels out of alignment when hitting a house cat and airbags fully deploying in his face!

| Disposal of Old Flares | 30 Jun 2006 16:09 GMT | 32 |
The Coastguard are getting reluctant to take old flares, chandlers on the whole don't want to know, and sailing clubs who used to use them for demos are now all Health & Safety conscious and don't generally use them now. So where does one legally get rid of out of date flares ...

| So very sorry, Maxprop | 30 Jun 2006 14:51 GMT | 16 |
I found the PHRF for your boat and the specs. Since we all know what they are, I'll leave to you to post them. But let's get real. Your boat is practically a motorsailor. I don't care if it won some races. So can a Cape Dory 25. In the real world

| light air | 30 Jun 2006 13:40 GMT | 24 |
Some of my students struggling with light air... Fortunately, the weather has cooled off, so today should be a bit better. Notice the kayak drifting faster than they're sailing... :-) http://sailnow.photosite.com/CSUS6-29-2006/

| A Stern Warning | 29 Jun 2006 12:09 GMT | 1 |
In past years Sloco has complained about the Stern of the C&C 32, which was really quite ordinary. Now I own a far sexier boat with a nice scoop and swim platform. But the real reason Sloco made such comments is THIS:
