Clutching a Quran and refusing a hood, Saddam Hussein went to the gallows
before sunrise Saturday, executed by vengeful countrymen after a
quarter-century of remorseless brutality that killed countless thousands and
Saddam Hussien31 Dec 2006 19:39 GMT10
Hussien is being murdered by a US puppet government. The Fat Americans
are barbarians perpetrating crimes against humanity by handing down
the death sentence. When will the killing stop? Why must America
murder its own citizens? The death penalty is a crime against

Bavaria 32 v Sun Odyssey 32i30 Dec 2006 21:34 GMT18
I am considering buying a smallish yacht to sail and keep in Turkey.  I
would be grateful for your collective wisdom on the pros and cons of
the Bav 32 against the SO32i.  Is there a significant difference
between the 2? Including commissioning/fitting out, the SO32i is around
close call on the water30 Dec 2006 21:30 GMT27
Wow... so a friend and I moved my boat from its old home to the new location
yesterday. Wednesday was nice and sunny, but Thursday started with light fog
that turned into a steady rain. The visibility was very good for distances
of up to about two miles, but then dropped off ...

Poor Saddam.30 Dec 2006 02:25 GMT2
Poor Saddam Hussein. May God have mercy on his soul. He's got less than two days before

Have a Merry Christmas ASA29 Dec 2006 21:48 GMT6
I'll be casting off for adventure in the morning, setting a course for

and good times ahead.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

Justin plans to live on the boat, but has not yet set his course. Although
he has been sailing since he was a boy, he said his experience sailing on
the ocean is limited.
When asked if such a challenge worried him, the intrepid shipwright replied,

Still critical. Still can't talk. They say they're giving his brain a chance to heal.
Duh! Brain cells don't heal. When they die they stay dead.  Can you say vegetable?

Wreck of the Ouzo found29 Dec 2006 14:15 GMT49
The wreck of the yacht Ouzo (on which 3 sailors died earlier this year) was
today washed up on Hayling Island, in the recent gale.
This may provide additional clues as to what happened, in due course.

Red Diesel29 Dec 2006 13:57 GMT28
According to this morning's Daily Mail, thousands of impoverished boat
owners will now have to sell their boats because of the new EC ruling on red
diesel, which comes into force on Jan 1.
