Boat sinking off FL31 May 2007 16:25 GMT1
As I write there's a 64 (or 65) foot boat sinking off Haulover Beach.
The CG has rescued all 5 POB's.  The helicopter shot shows the bow
sticking up - it looks like a sailboat with twin anchors, but its hard
to say what it is.  The seas are relatively calm, and apparently its
Free WAP weather forecast.31 May 2007 14:48 GMT3
Would people care to recommend their preferred wap weather forecasting
site?
I use weatheronline.co.uk "marine weather" and it's literally never

Round the Island Race 200731 May 2007 10:16 GMT7
Any URSers doing it this year? I am.
I'm told that entries are ahead of last year's pace at this stage, despite
the debacle over the start times last year. Island Sailing Club did a good
job of damage limitation by admitting their faults, having a proper
MacDiarmid info??31 May 2007 09:29 GMT3
Anybody remember a subscriber who used to post here under the name of
MacDiarmid? If I recall correctly, his real name was Dr. Trevor
Artingstoll and he was a political genius. He used to post things that
usually caused a row. The last I heard was he was purchasing a large
Ping:  Bubbles--OT:  change of color31 May 2007 04:51 GMT7
Problem with the black on black Exige Sport.  The delay for that color may
be more than I'm willing to accept.  I can have any of several other
colors--orange, silver, dark blue, etc.--if I want the car sooner.  Decision
time.

Buy a couple cans and, at the time of purchase, also buy about 20 feet

Hey Max!31 May 2007 03:45 GMT45
BB reminded me that you're an eye Dr.  How about a freebie?
Last Friday a piece of rust hit my eye, even though I was
wearing safety glasses. I believe it bounced out right away,
but the next day it was all red and very, very sore.
What's in your wallet?31 May 2007 02:40 GMT1
When you go cruising into jurisdictions other than the United States?

Tiscali still malfunctioning30 May 2007 21:30 GMT28
Newsgroup readers may be wondering why many regulars are missing.
Anyone using Tiscali as their ISP will have been unable to access
newsgroups via Outlook express for nearly a fortnight now. Tiscali
admit it is their problem, but seem to be not dealing with it.
Fun for Thomas30 May 2007 17:17 GMT47
Hey Rob - Are you gonna take Thomas to NYC for Fleet Week? He'd
probably love to walk around on some of those big boats. They will
have all sorts of demonstrations including helicopters and staged
rescue missions.
