Slightly OT - TIG Welding Stainless30 Oct 2007 03:51 GMT9
Anyone here with practical experience of  TIG inverter welders for stainless

Seems they found a clam that they can date to have been alive for
405-410 years. That's right oldest animal ever found alive. Some
fishermen caught it last mo. Seems they count the rings on the shell
top like rings on a tree to date them. Bet that's going to be a good

Harvest moon regetta27 Oct 2007 22:00 GMT4
They had 270 boats at the start yesterday. I Bet Jim Cate was up on
the topsail of the Elissa. She had all her top sail out at the start..
15-20 gusting to 30, but about 17:00 the wind stopped and it's been
dead since. I bet it's a big bobbin party off Sargent about right now.
Choosing an anchorage27 Oct 2007 08:53 GMT12
First time in a really long time... in fact, the first time ever
outside our home waters... we stayed at anchor in a lovely cove all

Someone suggested this book in response to a request for guidance on

I bought the book from Amazon and I have to say, it's absolutely The
Sailing directly into the wind26 Oct 2007 20:38 GMT101

opposite each other. There will be a net force forward with all leeway

you going to sail the Harvest Moon this year?" I hear there is going
to be a real tall ship there, the ELISSA.
Maybe you should try to get on as crew?

As a matter of interest, has anyone's mobile phone service provider changed
