Trailer Light Flasher Murdered by Screwed Up Tail Light?31 May 2004 19:49 GMT5
Spent the afternoon trying to figure out why the turn signals don't work on
my right side trailer light. The bulb lights when the truck's headlights are
on, but not when the right signal is on. The Y-arranged flasher unit
(aftermarket) picks up just one wire from the truck's tail ...

Trolling Motor Recommendations31 May 2004 17:28 GMT1
I'm thinking about getting a small trolling motor for a Crestliner
1850 sportfish. The boat is about 18 feet and 1500 lbs +motor+cargo.
It is wired for a bow mounting motor so thought that would be the
logical choice. I expect the trolling motor will be used more for

Outboard lower unit oil color30 May 2004 07:28 GMT2
I have a two year old 60 HP Mercury outboard.  The oil color in the lower
unit is a mystery to me.  After the first three months, I drained the oil.
It had a nice, honey brown color, with some metal flaking.  I refilled it
with Mercury gear oil.  Nine months later, I drained it ...
No water circulation on Alpha-130 May 2004 02:21 GMT4
I just commisssioned my 19 ft Wellcraft for the summer season.  After 6
months of storage in the mid-atlanta, the engine started after a few
moments and everything to seemed to be running fine.  After about 10
minutes bringing the water temp to a stable 160 degress, I reved the RPM
Interesting approach to leaking fuel tanks29 May 2004 19:10 GMT10
Just had an article come across my desk that deals with repairing leaking fuel
tanks.
The company that does the repairs pumps the fuel out of the tank, cuts an
access hole, cleans up the suspect areas of the tank with a wire brush, and

Memorial Day weekend29 May 2004 02:36 GMT3
Just realized this is the start of the annual boaters first weekend of
Mayhem. (LOL most holidays are meaningless to me, as I'm just as apt to

Thankfully, I'm not on duty till Monday, so I will be able to avoid most
