Folks,
I've recently purchased a 1998 Glass Starcraft Expedition 2050 (Center
console) w 150hp Merc. I've been looking everywhere for some form of
accessories catalog for the boat. In particular, I'd like to find a
Larson Cabrio 29 cavitation31 Aug 2004 17:27 GMT1
I purchased a  Larson Cabrio 29 new in 2001. It has twin Volvo 4.3's .  When
coming out the hole occasionally the starboard engine cavitates requiring I
back down and once again slowly bring up to speed.  It may or may not happen
with identical loads and weight distribution.  Yes ...
small boat trailer -- light install31 Aug 2004 17:07 GMT4
A quick question from a complete novice.
I recently purchased a small fishing boat (12 ft. aluminum) and
trailer from a private individual.  The trailer, I think, is from a
"kit" and the seller installed the wiring and lights himself.
Engine damaged from Freezing Weather31 Aug 2004 16:17 GMT10
For those of you who have seen a Chevy 350 (1992 vintage) crack from freezing,
is it common for the heads to crack and not the block?  Does the block usually
crack without cracking the heads or is the entire engine usually trash (block
and heads cracked)?  Can it freeze and take ...

A platform of tragedy31 Aug 2004 12:42 GMT9
Here in 2004, George W. Bush is running for reelection on a platform
of tragedy, the single greatest failure of national defense in our
history, the attacks of 9/11 in which 19 men with box cutters put this
nation into a tailspin, a failure the details of which the White House
Evinrude kill switch31 Aug 2004 11:31 GMT3
I own a 2000 Evinrude 9.9 4 stroke manual start. What is the proper way to
kill this motor? The emergency kill switch is hard to use. Will it hurt to
kill it with the choke? Needless to say I don't have the manual.

Trailer Brake Conversions31 Aug 2004 04:03 GMT8
Does anyone know if the Trailer conversion systems for Drum to Disk brakes
on the Internet are any good?
The Drum breaks on the trailer for my 20' Runabout have corroded after a few
years. I dip it in the Ocean a few times a year and the works have all
Evinrude Head Gasket Salt Deposits31 Aug 2004 03:22 GMT3
I have a 1989 Evinrude 88hp SPL outboard.
Recently I replaced both head gaskets with low compression gaskets.
I flat sanded both heads on a granite surface plate and block sanded
the power head. They were torqued properly (18-20 ft lbs) but after my
dock line size?31 Aug 2004 03:04 GMT26
Is there a general rule of thumb for determining how strong your dock lines
should be?
I have a 34 foot boat that weighs somewhere in the neighborhood of 19,000
lbs.  I want to buy some dock lines to carry onboard for tying up at fuel
Scared in Michigan31 Aug 2004 02:26 GMT10
Can someone put my mind at ease? I am afraid bush may soon be bombing
Michigan because timothy mcveigh spent some time here planning his terrorist
attack. He was part of the Michigan militia cell. The people here in MI. had
nothing to do with it so we should be safe-right? Should I ...
old outboard won't start31 Aug 2004 00:44 GMT2
Since my big boat is in the shop(again) I have lately spent a lot of
time with my 8 ft inflatible dingy which has a 50 year old Mariner 2HP
engine. Today when I was cruising Boston harbor it just stopped
running when I slowed down. I could not get it to start up again. some

I bought a 1997 Stratos model 285 Professional Elite with a Evinrude
Intruder 150 HP. I must admit it's my first bass boat. When I went for
a test ride the boat had a 14 and 1/4" 24 pitch Raker prop on it and
we hit about 65 MPH on the speedometer  @ 5200 PM's with 1/3 of a tank
