Clive Cussler novel.07 Dec 2004 20:34 GMT64
Just finished a fun novel by Clive Cussler.  Our hero,  Dirk PItt, used
a 25 ft. Parker w/ 275 Yamaha OB as a salvage vessel on Lake Michigan.
Sound familiar??

I thought it might be a good time of year to share how to make this site
more enjoyable if  all the off topic stuff is ruining it for you. Here is
how I set up my message rules in MS Outlook Express. This was pretty much
eliminated all the offending posters who habitually use this ...
Battery switches07 Dec 2004 06:34 GMT2
I have a 27' ProLine with twin 175 Evinrudes.  I have 2 batteries, 1
starting and 1 deep cycle.  How do I set the 2 battery switches?  They are
set to "both" right now but I don't think that is correct.  Also there are 2
"Ever Start" chargers, each connected to one battery.

flame gauze07 Dec 2004 01:08 GMT30
Hi,  The surveyor who inspected my boat mentioned a priority replacement of
the "fuel tank flame gauze" in his report, but I have been unable to find
out what he was referring to. The marina where my boat is isn't familiar
with that term either.
Seaworthy ships have window covers?07 Dec 2004 00:33 GMT5
Hi all, longstanding question I have (resurfacing after I visited a
superb small steel ship): Is it true that to be truly class A
seaworthy a ship needs metal covers for (certain) windows?

Boat won't get on plane06 Dec 2004 14:20 GMT4
Here's a good one that I heard the other day at a marine dealership. As I
was waiting my turn for a salesman, I overheard a customer complaining that
the boat and outboard motor he had just purchased had a problem. He said
when the salesman demoed it for him it seemed to run just ...
Gas in my oil06 Dec 2004 12:12 GMT24
I was on the lake yesterday in my '93, 18ft Thompson 4.3L Mercruiser,
with carburetor and electric fuel pump.
The engine literally locked up when coming to a 'slow down' with the
boat. I tried to restart it and it acted like a low battery. The first
SEA DRAGON INFLATABLE BOATS DINGHY? IS IT NEW?06 Dec 2004 09:08 GMT6
Did anyone hear anything about these Sea Dragon inflatable boats? Very
similar to Zodiac dinghy boats. They have a web site
http://www.BoatsToGo.com and it seems that their prices suspiciously low for
inflatable boats.
