Need HELP-Yamaha Outdrive30 Sep 2006 22:16 GMT3
My repair shop has had my boat ALL summer. I'm told it needs a new shift
cable and outdrive mounting kit, which they claim is no longer available for
my 95 Yamaha outdrive.
Is this true or does someone out there know where I might find parts ?

I am in Minnesota, trying to get into motoryachts. oh, somewhere in the
28-38 foot range, but the big trouble seems to be an availability of
trailers,  I have searched the web for tri-axles and the like, but
there doesn't seem to be alot out there, something I can haul with a

It's down to $2.56 here for cheapo.   The highest I've seen was $3.21
at our local pumps.

Went up to a favorite lake next to Yosemite for a couple of days.  Coming
back, stopping in Sonora (End of the Emigrant Gap trail) Checking the
trailer before heading into dinner, notice that one hub seems very hot and
then the other side of the trailer on the braking axel there ...

$500K yacht dropped onto dock30 Sep 2006 14:07 GMT32
I once asked a forklift operator at a dry storage place if he had ever
dropped a boat.  He said there had been damage but never anything serious.
This isn't just some kid on a big forklift...

Pickeral Big and Small30 Sep 2006 03:01 GMT5
I've been working on several cedar wood prototypes for a lure line
that I'm actually thinking of manufacturing.  This morning, I decided
to test a few, different size and weights in two different lakes.
It would seem I've hit on a sure fire pickerel catching lure pattern -
Bubbled slip for winter- what needs to be done?29 Sep 2006 00:37 GMT2
I am in Chicago and always have my boat hauled out and winterized.  I
found a slip with water/electric for the same $$ as winter storage. If
I take that and drain the water lines and a/c line, will the engine be
okay?   Can I put a light bulb or something in the engine compartment
Stupidity is Contagious28 Sep 2006 19:51 GMT29
It filters right down from the upper echelons of the guvmint, apparently.
This should be interesting. The article includes maps showing proposed
training zones. If you look at the maps and still think this plan is a good
one, please be quiet. You are not familiar with the areas in ...
1963 16' Dorsett Daytona28 Sep 2006 19:30 GMT3
i have seen quite a few good things about the Dorsett.  I have also
seen guesses at weights on these things as well.  I have very limited
towing but one of these boats has made itself available to me.  nada
doesn't even have a listing for Dorsett.
Buy Citgo gas and pay Chavez28 Sep 2006 16:59 GMT61
Not OT as there are Citgo gas stations at marinas across the US.
With every dollar you spend at a Citgo station (owned by Hugo Chavez) you
put money towards the weapons he purchases with an aim to kill you, your
family and your friends in the United States.  Those dollars will ...
Little Green Footballs28 Sep 2006 13:50 GMT3
sometimes called False Albacore or "Greenies" are a ton of fun and
make good bait.  Caught a few and two Yellowfin - saw a few groups of
bluefin, but they were being picky and not really feeding - too close
to a cold front I guess.  Heard reports of bluefin at SW Ledge off
