If you've not read any of his historical naval fiction, give yourself a treat and do so. He also wrote the "Richard Bolitho" series under the name Alexander Kent. That was a super series. I'm currently reading his 'Royal Marines Saga', a series of five. Good books.

Have 1992 50 hp, fitted new water pump and it wont select reverse. Tried adjusting cable and finger thing that selects gear range but to no avail. Can get reverse with leg off by moving selector shaft with a long screw
