How to Load a boat.09 Jul 2008 18:48 GMT5
This is our 1st time "camping" for more than overnight in our boat.
I had planned on strapping the cooler (150quart) to the swim deck with food &
drinks -- and putting all the "gear" out of the way up in the cuddy.
Someone said it's better to put all the load towards the rear and ...
Justa, an update09 Jul 2008 14:56 GMT26
First doc's appointment since the surgery to fix Breeze's arm, and the
doc says it's healing well, just the way he wants it. He left the left
cast on, I think he just wants to be cautious because she'll be doing
everything with her left for awhile! The right is still a temp. cast,

A person that I know (online only) just told me that he's binned from
Chuck's site because he mentioned Harry's imaginary lobster boat! Can
you imagine? What in the world is wrong with someone asking a question
about someone's (alleged) boat in a boating forum?
signal to noise ratio09 Jul 2008 07:10 GMT12
There was so much noise on this group that it was impossible to see the
signal, or even that there was a signal, i.e. anything on topic.  But I
put three authors into my kill file and, voila!, the bandwidth is about
1/10 of what it was.  And what's more, the subject lines appear ...
Advice needed - Drilling a small hole in my PWC footwells?09 Jul 2008 03:58 GMT21
It rains a lot here and I am thinking of drilling an 1/8" drain hole so the
rain water drains from the topside of the footwells down into the hull/bilge
area and then out the back of the drain plugs when I am not using my
waverunner.  When I am in the water, running the bilge can ...

Tolman pounding08 Jul 2008 22:58 GMT7
Perhaps I am reading sea conditions wrong or perhaps because it is so
shallow here that I cannot get any idea of other conditions.  My
Tolman Skiff seems to pound in 1’ chop at any speed over 12 kts.  Of
course, it does have a very small deadrise of only 8 degrees but it
Patching a radio hole in a center console08 Jul 2008 20:53 GMT2
I have recently removed and relocated a radio from my center console,
leaving the hole in the console where the radio had been. The hole is
about 3" x 6".

NMEA Convert RMC to ZDA?08 Jul 2008 03:13 GMT11
My GPS puts out RMC -- but I have a device that needs ZDA to get the time/date
-- RMC contains time/date -- is there any way (ie: any device) that can convert
between the two?
