I recently purchased a Bayliner with a 5.7 (210hp) and an Aplha 1.  I
noticed today that the lower unti is leaking a little out of the oil
drain hole at the bottom.  I checked and the screw is tight.  Any
thoughts on what it could be?  Bad gasket?  Cross-threaded drain plug?

The usual 200+ boats anchored off Myrtle Edwards Park for the Seattle
Elliot Bay fireworks display were conspicuously sparse this year-only
20-30 boats attended. A real sign of the crunched economy and high fuel
cost effects on boating.

Yesterday I decided the 90' of 3/8" anchor line that came with the boat was
too small for comfort and not long enough for the Chesapeake. So I got

was a blast. We went to a boaters' beach in Belmont Bay. Shared the place
with about 50 other boats and had a great time. Went over to our old
stomping grounds in Mattawoman Creek only to find the 'beach' overrun with
hydrilla. No boats anywhere.

Thanks to everybody it's working beautifully.  We have all taken the
