I need to plug a hole in the transom of my boat (used to be the outlet of the furnace - about 2" diameter). I was going to use a plywood plug epoxied in, but realized I wouldn't be able to use gelcoat to match the existing finish, because it wouldn't stick to the epoxy (correct?)

I have to purchase a new trailer, I have a Shorland 'r now and it is painted and I used it in saltwater and it is now finished. I am looking at the same model galvanized. I have also been looking at aluminum also, by FloatOn and other companies.

I have a old house boat that the fiberglass has separated from the wooden decks. The separated pieces have been ripped up not leaving much still in tack. What is the best solution for my problem. I have never worked with fiberglass or resealing decks that leak! Any help, links, ...
