I've seen several well done conversions of steel lifeboat hulls to cruising vessels. They are quite popular in the UK it seems. I'd like to look into the possibility of doing a conversion myself, but I can't seem to find any resources for the lifeboats themselves. Any suggestions?

looking for info on those double-ended lapstrake life-saving rowboats used by lifeguards, coast guard, etc., to get out through the surf. does anyone know of any plans, sites, jpegs on the net? i'm thinking it might be interesting to try to make one.

I have built a small stitch and glue skiff, (14ft.), I would like to make a bigger version of the same boat, say 21ft, do I just add 50% to the patterns? or is it more complicated than that, the boat I built is a Glen L "power skiff",,, give me some help guys,

While painting the boot stripe (with 2-part polyurethane) on my inverted hull, I (carelessly!) splattered a drip or two on my nice, new shiny Awl Grip topsides and didn't notice till a day later. I've tried rubbing it out with an acetone moisteded rag to no avail.
