I am just curious how many australians read this news group. I have a
thousand and one questions to ask, and so far the answers have been
very helpful. But no one answers from down under.

Where's the best deal on lead foam? Best I've
found is Soundown but their price seems awfully
high to me especially shipped to Dallas,TX.

TF Jones uses an estimate of 7 lb of food and drink per person per day.
After its been digested and collected in a bucket he dumps it over the
side where its no longer a design issue. We have laws against that. What

I'm considering a formica galley counter and would like to do it as a
core-cell sandwich with glass on the underside.  Can I epoxy bond formica or
do I need to introduce another material in between?

I am new to boating and learning fast...just not fast or soon enough.
Ok..so I bought a 1942 80' Wheeler that started as wood and was C-flex? and
or West System fiberglassed in the mid 80's.  I am told that
the process was to add 1/2" marine grade plywood, then 2-3 layers of cloth

Anybody have any experience/built one oft these lightweight composite boats
(plans)  on the web now?
Just wondereing  how they compare to heavier boats in a sea/wind? Also in a
breeze/tide while docking?

Could anyone tell me or point me in the direction of info regarding how to
determine the optimal & minimal operational depths for props?

Cruiser 488. 4 cylinder 188 hp. FWC. This motor is just about done and I am
considering repowering with a Mercruiser 4.3 L V6 carburated 190 hp. Does
