I am doing some cost projections  for some large boats.
What is the cost of diesel in your area?

I would like to build a small (6-10') wooden boat for my grandchildren and
would like it to look like an old runabout with mahogany decks and such.  I
plan on using an electric outboard for power with shop made controls to the
cockpit.

I am looking a building some steel jacks to support sailboat for winter
storage.
I do not know if there is a universal standard or do they differs from boat
yard to boat yard.

Could anyone suggest a good place to look for a Dutchman sail?
New/Used, Website/mail-order etc.  Preferably closer to Western
Canada, but anywhere will do.

I found a small 12v DC pump and mounting bracket at a
neighbourhood rummage sale for $2 in an unopend package which

It's time to paint my first boat.  It's a 26' GRP yacht and I have no idea
what I need to do to prepare it for painting and antifouling.  Can anybody
give me any tips?

Last month I bought one of the company's older  fleet cars for #2
daughter.  Not exactly a "sweetheart deal" but definitely most favored
nation.  ;-)  Sent the title in for transfer and got a new tag.  This
week I get a letter from the GA revenuers wanting to know the sales

My Perkins 4-108 has a cast aluminum exhaust manifold.  I have it off
for inspection and pressure testing.  As part of the inspection, I have
remove all paint and primer to bare metal.  Other than aesthetics, is
there any reason to repaint.

Can someone tell me the advantages/ disadvantages of stainless steel
running gear (prop, strut, shaft, and rudder).  I remembered hearing
that it was a no-no, but I have nothing to prove either way.
