Wellcraft-24'-how much does it weigh?30 Nov 2003 13:50 GMT6
I am trying to help a friend find out how much a 1980's wellcraft 24' with
outboard engine weighs. She want to put it on davits at her new home but does
not know the weight. Her husband passed away recently and she is good with the

need advice/help with trim30 Nov 2003 12:49 GMT7
I've recently replaced the side windows in our 66 34' Hatteras.  I now have
a lip, approx 1/4 - 3/8" around the inside edge (inside the salon) that I
need to trim out.  If it were all straight, some simple "L" shaped wood
molding would be fine but I have  a couple of radiuses to ...

timing of 3 coats of expoxy/cloth?29 Nov 2003 15:53 GMT7
I need to add 3 coats of cloth to re-enforce the hull of my boat. I seem to
remember that one should NOT wait 24 hours between each application, or one
would have to sand/grind the surface to wax???  Is that correct, and what is
the best time to lay the second and third coats?

I do have one more question though ( for now :) ).  The current supports for
the deck are all side mounted to the stringers (most are just screwed into
Safety glass for boat windows28 Nov 2003 20:39 GMT13
Someone recently was asking about what material to replace windows with.
That got me thinking today as I got into my '90 YJ Jeep, that the
windshield would be a good candidate for the center cabin windows in my
Irwin 37.  Nice and flat.  Its rectangular which I like better than the

I would like to add some additional flotation to a new ( to me ) boat that I
purchased. Does anyone know if any of the brands of canister foam  ( Great
Stuff or  Dow  etc. ) are closed cell and could I use them safely without
concern that they will take on water over the years.
