Unscrewums?19 Nov 2003 05:57 GMT8
Does anyone know of a source for these?
I occasinally snap the head off a screw and need something to back them out
of the wood without carving a huge hole out for pliers. I would imagine what
I need is something that's kind of a mirror image of the Craftsmen screw
Steam box18 Nov 2003 12:55 GMT7
I'm in need of a new steam box. Any ingenious ideas out there? I was

gallon tank to feed it. Or how about coiled tubing for the steam part?
Mainly I want steam pretty quickly, a way to fill the water tank ...

Mounting pad for a large outboard motor - what material should it be made from?14 Nov 2003 11:35 GMT2
I've noticed that outboard motors which are permanently mounted,
especially on aluminium (and sometimes fibreglass) boats, have a thin
pad of material - either wood or plastic - between the motor itself

Source for round thimbles?13 Nov 2003 11:40 GMT4
I was working on a ditty bag and am looking for some round thimbles with a

someone here could point me in the right direction.

to get a handle on the bedrock principles of 'seaworthiness'.
From random reading I've formed the impression that the Bristol

Squirt Horsepower12 Nov 2003 18:30 GMT6
Has anyone here had experience with the Glen-L Squirt? My son and I
are building one and are getting to the point where we need to find an
