I am do the sums to calculate the required size of hydraulic ram need to
drive a transom hung rudder.
I read somewhere that it is preferable to use two rams (one on each side )
to minimise the amount of twisting forces on a rudder.

I have an inflatable tender with a slat base and was wondering what it would
take to build a RIB type base to mount the existing tubes on?
Is it going to be cheaper to buy a RIB and keep the slat based boat as a
spare?

Glenns post about his launch gave me flash backs to a premature launch I had
on a 30 footer years ago..
I built a 30 version of Star Drift (a Clark Craft sloop).. Multi chine, keel
with with centerboard, about 3ft draft with board up.

I bought a project this year, a Chrysler 22, in bad condition. But, it seems
like anything might be fixed on a boat like this!! :)  And it does not need
to be expensive.

Rutu.  I have no idea if I will make it but it will be sometime around
that.  SWMBO has gotten enthusiastic about planning a party for the
occasion.  I think more for getting the damned thing out of the back
