| FTL Perkins wizard wanted | 23 Jan 2004 23:38 GMT | 1 |
I'm going to do a survey on a suspect 4-154, but don't live anywhere near FTL, so doing my own on-the-ground legwork is challenging. Does anyone have a Perkins maven they'd recommend for an engine survey in the FTL area?

I have a gravity fed spray gun which I use with spray putty. It has a 2.8 mm fluid nozzle. I was going to try and use it to spray some "Gelcoat" but thought I should ask first - will this work. I thought the nozzle size still might be to small. Hoe is a spray gun for use

| project planning example | 22 Jan 2004 00:10 GMT | 8 |
I loaded a copy of MS Project onto my computer, input some tasks for a small boatbuilding project, captured some screen images, and put them in files on my website as an illustration of what a project managment program does. The files show the list of tasks and the critical path ...

Anyone know of a method to use a chopper gun and epoxy. Is a copper gun made that works for epoxy? I thought it might be a good way to apply a barrier layer to a FRP hull.

| How thick to make the fairing? & vaccum bagging a hull | 19 Jan 2004 22:12 GMT | 12 |
On average, how thick is the putty fairing layer over the mat on a strip planked hull? I guess it may depend on whether vacuum bags were used (that's a question too - what's the general consensus on vacuum bagging a hull?; what are the gains 'cos it looks like loads of

Here are my conclusions regarding that long thread I started about using Ping Pong Balls for floatation.. Ping Pong balls are not cost effective. $20/144 PPB burn real nice.

| Pete Cullers Plans - Mystic Seaport | 19 Jan 2004 13:17 GMT | 5 |
Roger, The 'Research Area' never is 'open' as such. And asking one of the docents probably won't get you anywhere, either. If you go to the 'office' {actually off the Seaport 'grounds'} and state you purpose . .
