I've never worked with or even seen the microbaloons used as filler in
resins on boats, but I've heard they are tiny clear plastic spheres. The
toner used in photocopiers and computer printers is also tiny plastic
spheres (to print they are melted into the paper). I was wondering if

Well, since I'm having very little luck finding inexpensive yards on the FTL
side (though I did pick up the yellow pages from every county between Miami
and Melbourne and will be calling to confirm my ad-hoc findings from this
and other sources), I'm now looking on the other side.

My fahter, 72, is finding his 12ft fiberglass boat to heavy to launch
by himself and needs a lighter boat.
The present boat has a 5hp outboard, solidly built, seaworth and has a

I was just given a case of Sikaflex – 15LM and am wondering if it can be
utilized in my rebuild of a McKenzie type wood drift boat.
Primarily interested if it could be used where chines meet ribs, hull

I'm currently working on a project were I'm making a mould of a
spherical garden ornament. The garden ornament is the plug, I filled,
sanded, painted and smoothed it, then I applied several layers of
release wax and then PVA. When I applied the fibreglass it caused the

I'm going to install floor stiffeners (2"x4" cedar sealed 3x by S1 - floors
are 1/2" marine plywood sealed as well) using machine SS bolts 3/8" 3", 4" &
5" long.

Hi boat builders,
Im not really building a boat, I`m rebuilding my old dutch channel boat...
Bilge below engine and drive was wet, so I did dry it. As I saw, there is
some of the bilge colour missing, I can see the steel shining through.
