I have been looking at the hull of my 1973 carver 28' mariner which i
just bought about a week ago..
The hull is planked mohogany but i noticed 2 or 3 spots where there is
rot in the planks by the frames just about at the water line..

I want to repaint the hull of my boat.  i know i should use good
quality antifouling paint.  My question is if i need to use a primer
or not.  the hull is mohogany but i dont know if i need primer.  if
so, which kind do i need?

Hello, folks.
I repaired a leaking sponson on my ten year old  PVC (not Hypalon)
Zodiac Yachtline 1 RIB today by replacing the valve. Seems to work.
However, while the sponson was deflated (and this is in the water,

My 1981 Westsail 43 has well-made fiberglass fuel tanks, but one has a small
leak which amounts to perhaps one gallon per month.
Several inches down from the top, I can see and feel glass fibers in one small
area, and I believe that the fuel has, over time, dissolved the epoxy.  I
