Graduating to my first multi-sheet stitch-n-glue... butt joints with blocks
are ugly, scarfing will throw off my sheet layout. Can I use a plain butt
joint, supported on both sides by glass and epoxy?

Bathtub For Outdrive In Salt Water?10 Jun 2004 09:37 GMT1
I have a 1983 Bayliner 2850 single outdrive. It is in salt water. I heard
there is a bathtub that can be slipped under the outdrive and filled with
fresh water to flush it and then I can leave it so it will not be in salt
water when at the slip.

Removing a Chris Craft flybridge09 Jun 2004 22:49 GMT2
I've recently bought a 34' Chris Craft Constellation with a flybridge. To
transport the boat the flybridge has to come off. Does anyone know if there
are instruction on how to do this, points of attachment, etc? The boat is
from 1964.

From swing keel to fixed keel08 Jun 2004 15:52 GMT4
I have a 22' sailboat with a new keel. The boat originaly had a swing keel,
but a fixed keel is made and installed. The keel is fixed inside a well. I
have a hard time making a non leaking connection between the hull and the
keel. The keel is long and probably moving, making smal ...
San Juan 21 swing keel problem08 Jun 2004 00:09 GMT11
I am trying to help a friend replace the steel cable that raises the
swing keel on his old San Juan 21.  Do any of you have a drawing or
can you describe how the cable runs.  I thought that it would run
straight from a winch at the aft end of the centerboard trunk in the
Fuel Tank Construction07 Jun 2004 19:24 GMT22
If everything goes according to plan, I'm about to buy a Grand Banks
49 trawler that needs new fuel tanks (500 gallons each).
Any thoughts from this group on the best material for new tanks,
fabrication hints, and/or removal/installation suggestions?
Epoxy and Chopped strand mat07 Jun 2004 18:06 GMT10
Can you use chopped strand mat with epoxy?
I read one article that says no and then I read another article that
says it is ok.
I read where mat must always be used between two pieces of woven
Fuel and water tanks06 Jun 2004 18:40 GMT6
How many boaters out there have had problems with leaking aluminums fuel or
water tanks.I understand there shouldn't be any problems so long as the
surface of the tank is kept away from moisture.
