I am doing a small job on my boat and would like to get a few small
pieces of teakwood. There is a website in Thailand that sells it but I
would like to purchase locally, at least in the US, if I can. I live
in central New York. Any body know of a place I can get some teak?
Using plastic or heat shrink wrap for plug finish?15 Jul 2004 05:33 GMT4
After spending untold hours trying to get a smooth finish on a plug for a
mold, I'm looking for alternatives, such as using stretch or shrink wrap
over the plug.  Here's my plan:
I have some 18"wide furniture wrap which is like big, tough saran wrap.

I've recently purchased a 30 yr old unfinished mirror dinghy.
Unfortunately, the boat didn't come with the construction

Hello and thank you in advance for your suggestions. I'm in the

Hull Paint for Fresh Water11 Jul 2004 09:01 GMT2
I will soon be painting a small 14' skiff that will never see salt water

Has anyone built a boat from Chris Kulczycki's The Canoe Shop book?
The wife wants a solo canoe and I don't have the time to build another
cedar stripper for her.  I am thinking about the 14' boat in the book.
Any other suggestions in that range would be welcome.  Looking for a
