Looking for some net wisdom here for anyone who has built a stich and glue
boat.  I am building a 14' power skiff from the plans at glen-l.com.  I have
stiched the boat and start to apply the fillet.  My question is when should I
remove or try to remove the wire holding the boat ...

I have a houseboat whose roof has a bunch of thin
spider cracks, as well as some a bit bigger. The
biggest ones aren't wide enough to get any more than
a razor knife blade in, if that. I want to put some more

I am about to replace the hand rails and toe rails on my 35' sailboat, and am
wondering what kind of wood would be the best to use. I will be painting them.
Also, what paint would you builders recommend?

The NTSB in their bureaucratic wisdom is proposing a rule to require ALL
people on recreational boats to WEAR PFD's ALL the time. Here is a link to
the site, and the e-mail address to send your comments to. Since boating has
continually gotten safer, I certainly see no need for this ...

I have a 34 feet houseboat with a Chrysler 318 driving a Paragon v-drive -
the problem is that no parts are available anymore for this tranny and i
would like to change it to somewhat more modern.   I have two choices:
Stick with the propeller and shaft model and buy a Twin Disk or ...

design, They were plywood stitch and glue construction 16' and smaller. I

How should more than one battery be hooked together
as a supply for an inverter? Does it matter which battery
in the group the battery charger is attached to? It will
be an automatic charger. Will all of the batteries drain
