Can anyone direct me to some sites where I could get some ideas on what I
should be doing to wire up a boat correctly (with diagrams - I  prefer to
see things) for properlly servicing the boat and managing the batteries
properly. Beyond lighting I'm not sure what I could/should be ...

I am looking for a home in the USA for a roll of fiberglass cloth ( about 6oz
bi-directional, epoxy compatible, 1779 yards long x 44" wide ).

am open to any other thoughts -- think laterally on this and ...
Plexiglass windshield09 Dec 2004 04:31 GMT9
My brother-in-law and I are refurbishing an old Sunray 14' boat.  It's in
very good condition except for the windshield which has to be replaced.  We
want to do it ourselves but need a little advice on how to proceed.  Molding
it with plexiglass is definitely one option we're ...
Launching a Two-paw-908 Dec 2004 15:13 GMT4
I finally launched my 2-Paw-9 nesting dinghy.  Nested her and put her
in back of my truck and took her down to Carabelle (NW Florida) to see
how well she would go on the foredeck of my 28' S2.  First put her in
the water apart. I got in back half and easily assembled her in the

Yamaha Outboard question07 Dec 2004 22:13 GMT3
I have a new Yamaha 2HP 2 stroke outboard. Iread the instructions and I am
unsure if it has gear oil when new. It goes into detail about having to
change this oil later so I assume it already has gear oil (that's near the
prop of course). Is this right?
repairing/reproducing parts   ?07 Dec 2004 13:34 GMT12
Many mechanical parts cost a small fortune to replace.
I'm wondering if any members of this group have power equipment such as
lathes, milling machines, cutters, formers, molders, etc., [other than
welding], that they are successfully using to modify, repair, and
Headliner Replacement Adhesive06 Dec 2004 21:12 GMT3
My headliner consists of a vinyl material glued to a thin plywood

The vinyl is sagging and discolored and in need of replacement.
I can clean up the plywood panels and reuse them and I have a source

very cold ( a lake nearby gets 3 foot of ice on it). Except for the ...
SEA DRAGON INFLATABLE BOATS DINGHY? HOW COMES?05 Dec 2004 17:31 GMT1
Did anyone hear anything about these Sea Dragon inflatable boats? Very
similar to Zodiac dinghy boats. They have a web site
http://www.BoatsToGo.com and it seems that their prices suspiciously low for
inflatable boats.
Hatches - Strong Miter Joints05 Dec 2004 11:12 GMT7
I am at the planning stage of replacing some deck hatches on a sailing boat.
The framework is mitered, to prevent endgrain being open to the sea, but as
these are stepped on they also need to be strong.
I see the altenatives being miters with routed slots for loose tongues, or
