Old running rigging31 Jan 2005 19:35 GMT15
I am about to replace the halyards and sheets on my 25' sailboat. I have
measured the old lines with a caliper, and had my neighbor repeat the
measurements to be sure they were consistent. The result is that the lines
measure between 5/16 and 3/8 for the halyards, and between 3/8 ...

When love was love only.31 Jan 2005 06:04 GMT2
Remember the good old days when love was only love, and we didn't do sex
until married?   Those were the good old days when we obeyed God; so He made
our corn tall, wildflowers plenteous, drove out harmful animals, and gave us
fresh water streams full of good fish, and God kept ...

Repairs to plywood deck30 Jan 2005 07:13 GMT5
I have a 25 year old, marine ply 31 footer, in which some cracks are
appearing in the deck (allowing drips to enter above my bunk). I presume
these are where the plywood sheets join - haven't removed any paint yet, so
I'm not sure. Simple question - is it usual for deck joints to be ...
HOW2 refinish steel trailer  ?30 Jan 2005 00:28 GMT16
Looking for the simplest, least expensive way to rust inhibit and
refinish a [steel] sailboat trailer, after rust descaling.
If it matters, I'm thinking of doing this incrementally. It's 45' long.
Gratefully,
Remote temperature and/or bilge reporting28 Jan 2005 21:13 GMT5
We have a boat that, from time to time, suffers a heating problem.
We'd like to install something that would monitor the air temperature, and if
it fell below a certain level, would call a pre-programmed number.  A plus
would be for a unit that can also report high water in the ...
Excellent vendors28 Jan 2005 15:42 GMT1
To give credit where credit is due, I would like to recommend two vendors
that I have recently had transactions with. Both are above average in that
they actually answer your questions, have great prices, and courteous
service.

How to for frame and rib?27 Jan 2005 22:35 GMT3
I own a old Wheeler 83 footer that has had marine grade plywood fastened to
the the planking and then fiberglassed to around an 1/8" thick.  The work
was done in the mid 1980's and appears to be in good shape below the water
line.  On the inside a few of the frames/ribs are rotten ...
The Lord Jesus.27 Jan 2005 03:19 GMT1
Hello,   My name is Keith Williams.   God, and the Lord Jesus, and
Their angels appeared to me and showed me many things.   They did likewise
to the
first century AD believers.   God is real, the Lord Jesus is real, and the

Mold Table Construction24 Jan 2005 18:07 GMT4
I'm building an 8' x 12' formica toppped mold table.  I will be using
this to lay up foam/E-glass panels for a bridgedeck cabin for my 40'
catamaran.  It's being build inside a garage.
I'd appreciate a bit of feedback on a few questions:
