I'm looking to build a small boat for weekend outings and maybe lake or
river tours lasting probably up to about a week. Nothing long term. Just me
and my wife. I haven't found a design on the web that I especially like, but
I think I can combine the features of 3 boats to make ...

I'm doing a project at work finding alternatives ways to evacuate our HH-60
helicopters (the 1-3 of them that can't fly due to being overhauled or other
maintenance problems) from Patrick AFB (Cocoa Beach, FL) during hurricanes.
We don't shelter them here due to storm surge ...

Am mechanical engineer with a composites background presently residing

help make hand /sail/outboard moter powered fiberglass fishing boats of

 I have a 34' aluminum sailboat hull that was built some time in the
late 1970's but never finished until now. The stern tube is sch.80
aluminum pipe and was welded by the builder, my question is two fold,
first does any one know of a cutlass bearing to fit pipe approx 1.9".

I am building an 18' mahogany runabout.  Besides the engine, I am
going to need all the specialized hardware such as shafts, props,
rudder, stuffing box, exhaust ports, water pickup, etc..

I have a number of grease fittings (Zerk fittings ?) on my new
trawler.  Some seem to be the standard automotive size that I'm
accustomed to, but some seem a size or two smaller.  Can one buy
adapters for a standard grease gun that go to a smaller fitting?

More theoretical than anything ...
A cold night's discussion evolved into: if my radar is picking up a
target (a buoy in the case of this discussion) at whatever range in a
dead fog, I'll lose it when it gets close enough to where I can

I have a question that I'm hoping someone can answer for me.
I needed a new water pump for my boat, it has an OMC 3.8L V6 (GM 229
3.8L V6)so I did some pricing and a new (BOAT)water pump was around

Interested in any information on 30' Fortune Cutter built on the west coast Vancouver B.C. Canada ?? Fiberglass construction.  I have come across a few in the last few years in Vancouver, was wandering if there were many of these built and any other info.

I remember reading about uv blockers that could be added to epoxy - any
experience?
