I'm currently working on a rather neglected GP14 and wish to repair a sizable hole towards the bow, close to the keel (see http://xdev.net/~jon/pict1679-resized.jpg). I've stripped back all the rotten wood around the hole and am wondering how to proceed.

I plan to build a 8 x 16 ft. barge using 3/8 osb sheeting and covering it inside and out with a spray on bed liner material. Any pro or con comments would be appreciated.

Does anyone know what to do to oar rubbers to get them onto an oar? I've got this lovely, very practical full ring stainless rowlocks that I want to use, but I'm going a bit spare trying to get the oar rubbers on. I've searched everywhere, does anyone know the secret?

I have a Hydrovane and want to duplicate the vane with something stronger than the ageing light weight original wooden one. Vanes on the new windvanes are metal tubing w/lashed on fabric. Suggestions ?
