Bayliner Condensation?05 Jan 2005 14:43 GMT2
I have a 1983 Bayliner 28.5'. In the V-berth, it has like a thin carpet on
the ceiling. The carpet is very dry. But at the very tip of the V-berth

anchor box. There is no carpet on the ceiling. This is a very ...

Help refinishing fiberglass paddle shaft04 Jan 2005 22:56 GMT3
I have two fiberglass shaft paddles I need to refinish, because the glass is
starting to show.
The outer layer looks like a very thin fiberglass and black resin tape -
very similar to catamaran tillers.

I actually already made the box, I made the inside liner out of
standard two part epoxy resin and 12 oz cloth I purchased at fiberglass
coatings.  I know this is the wrong time to start thinking about this.
I read a lot of post's on google. I know of one coating I can buy,
Fiberglass backing material03 Jan 2005 20:44 GMT5
A few days ago some one was discussing fiberglass backing material for
anchoring fittings. Can some one tell me if it has a specific brand name and
where I can get it?

Does anyone have any opinions on the minimum width of the side decks on
a 35 foot yacht, particularly near the shrouds?
Thank you

I am doing a gelcoat repair on an area that I have rebuilt. I was told tho,
to use flowcoat not gelcoat as the gelcoat will not harden. Any ideas please
Thanks

tidal wave damage02 Jan 2005 15:50 GMT6
Seems to me the best thing they can do is get all those fishing boats back
in the water so the people can start fishing again ASAP instead of
spending all their time building refugee camps. The people can live on
the boats while the houses are being rebuilt. From the newsreel clips ...

Secondary bond?02 Jan 2005 00:29 GMT2
Have a glass fibre moulding, which needs to have another glass part bonded
to it, after the first part has fully cured.
Would I be right in thinking that an epoxy resin system, with proper filler
added so it aheres to vertical surfaces, would be the best way of going
"Striped" Decking01 Jan 2005 05:10 GMT6
I'm sure there's a proper name for it, but I'll be damned if I know it. I'm

some people simply stripe a plywood decking to make it appear like
individual boards, but I'm interested in the real deal.
