| Cutting ply | 29 Apr 2005 19:50 GMT | 18 |
Does anyone have any tips on the best ways to cut marine ply (6, 9 and 12mm)? In particular I want to cut curved 8' boards for a dinghy. So I guessing that a band saw is a good bet but I don't have one. Are there any other methods that can produce good results?

Is it possible for me to make my own fibreglass tank to hold diesel? I've heard of gas tanks being eaten from the inside out but I'm wondering if diesel will do the same thing. This way I could utilize the most space possible, instead of cramming a square box into an odd shaped ...

| Dinghy Rubrail | 28 Apr 2005 01:48 GMT | 1 |
In a previous post, I asked about suggestions for a rubrail on my Nautilus 8 dinghy. Well, I found an old piece of garden hose, split it lengthwise, drilled holes every 3" and used cable ties to hold it on. It seems to work well and actually looks good. Total cost was $6.00
