I have a 56 Penn Yan Captivator that I worked on for several years.
The entire hull below the spray-rail was West-system epoxied, because

Wall Street Journal on Mari-Cha IV26 May 2005 18:07 GMT1
Interesting article in today's (May 26) Wall Street Journal, p. D8, about
the Mari-Cha IV, the world's fastest single-hull sailboat. It sails at more
than 30 knots, thanks to twin 140-foot masts (on a 140-foot hull) and a
21-foot hydraulically manipulated keel. Two years ago it ...
High-build primer25 May 2005 23:38 GMT3
I'm finishing a glass composite boat and intend to use LPU paints. I've been using Interlux 401/414 , applied by roller and brush.  I'm generally satisfied with it, but it doesn't build quickly.  Is there other primer I should try?
Windlass wiring25 May 2005 16:05 GMT3

Just had our 33' sailboat hauled, and we have some bottom work to do.
A half dozen or so blisters, bottom paint, some thru-hull work, and I
want to change my cutless bearing and repack my prop shaft.  The yard
wants $60 a day (almost $2,000) a month.  I figure that I want to do

squeaky outdrive question, Regal 215022 May 2005 09:25 GMT5
I have a friend who has a Regal 2150. When she turns
the wheel the outdrive squeaks as it moves from one
side to the other. It's not a real shrill sound like metal
