I have a set of plans for a Glen-L TNT and I've decided to build it.
The question is what kind of plywood or plywood substitute?  The marine

What else should I consider using?  The finished boat will be used as a

Wood For Gunnels05 May 2005 21:24 GMT3
I am building a small stitch and glue boat (15' along the gunnels) and
would like some darker colored gunnels than the standard white oak. I
have been considering black walnut, African padauk, south American
mahagonay, hickory, and purple heart.

Propane refrigeration?04 May 2005 03:24 GMT5
I am considering a propane refrigerator on my 40' catamaran.
These propane fridges don't work well with monohulls
unless gimballed but cats do quite well with them.  Gemini
cats use them as standard equipment (and they seem to
Almost a MiniCup sailing problem03 May 2005 20:47 GMT3
On Saturday, my 14 yr old son and I went to Shell Point, Fl to sail the
MiniCup and it was great wind before an approaching front.  Wind was
from the south so there was no problem getting back to shore.  By 3:00
the rain was coming down in torrents so we went home.
F-boat trimaran set-up hassle factor03 May 2005 15:00 GMT4
I am considering building a Farrier folding tri.  I realize I will not
save much money but boat building has gotten me so I just wanna do it.
My old 28' S2 monohull will allow me to sail while I am building.
Here are the questions for any tri sailors.

I know there have been other discussions on painting but I would like to
hear from those of you who didn't use the standard "marine" paint. I'm
pretty sure there were at least a couple of people who used exterior latex
or alkalyd paints. Personally I don't see why a good exterior ...
