A friend has offered me his old Pearson sailboat.  It is in good shape.
But, it needs a new engine.  It has the original Atomic 4 gas.
What diesel engine would be the best replacement?  How much do the diesels
cost?  How much work is it the replace an old Atomic 4 in a 1968 year

Took a look at a bunch of insurance salvage boats listed on the net.
Problem,,, boat are there, I am here.
Some are junk, cut em up and throw away the pieces.
But others look more like the owner said "I sure am glad I didn't tie her up

I was looking at a site that showed a home builder's sailboat.  He had some
plans, set up a frame on the ground and made a cross piece frame ..
He used plywood to sheath the boat.  Epoxy on the plywood.

Has anyone ever built an small plywood , epoxy boat that could be carried on

I'm new to this group and working on rehab of a 1964 Olympic Cub 24
foot sloop, red cedar on steam bent oak.  I've sistered a couple frames
(laminated) and replaced a couple floor timbers.  The hull seams are
