I am currently looking at tiller pilots for a 27 footer, and am
deciding between the Simrad TP10 and Raymarine ST1000+

What I found on them says that both are not really waterproof,
Lead for hollow keel24 Apr 2006 11:17 GMT8
I scored 350 kg of lead over the weekend for free from various tires
centres. I found outwhat the trick is.... go to tire centres where they sell
a lot of mag wheels... they use adhesive backing instead of clips to attach
to the wheel. I still have weights with clips but not as ...

I have concerns.
Help with Mounting gunwale to fiberglass23 Apr 2006 11:34 GMT1
I've searched through here for people with problems similar to
mine but haven't seen anything.
I bought a fiberglas dingy, about 10 ft. last year. The old wood
working had rotten, esp. on the gunwales. I stripped everything,
Vetus waterlock mufler instalation?22 Apr 2006 18:29 GMT3
This one is from 1976, the ports are labeled IN/OUT but I don't know
if it's upside down or not. It's a stainless oval cylinder with the
ports on one side and the mounting tang on the other. Does the tang go
up and the unit hangs down for mounting with the ports at the bottom?

Motor power/thrust additive?22 Apr 2006 06:20 GMT3
If I use two 30 lb thrust motors, is that equivalent to one 60 lb thrust
motor?
Do two 9 hp motors equal one 18 hp motor?
In terms of boat performance, not necessarily theoretically.

Precut steel cost20 Apr 2006 10:07 GMT2
I have another question for you : what is the price in the different
countries of precut steel per kilo ? In Italy it should be beetween 0.8
and 1.2 depending on your ability. What about other countries ? Would
it be advisable in your opinion to have a hull built abroad and then
centerboard paint???20 Apr 2006 08:09 GMT9
The Chebacco's CB is entirely enclosed in the case.  The boat will live on a
trailer.  Is there any reason to apply paint to the interior of the case and
or to the CB?  Both are well encapsulated with epoxy.
