Resin not hardening11 May 2006 05:44 GMT2
I failed to mix the resin and hardener in the right proportion. Now I
have spots on my hull that the resin is not hardening. Do I have any
recourse other than removing the resin and matting and starting all
over?
Does anyone know how to manually lower the stern Drive11 May 2006 04:24 GMT8
I have a Penta 280 Stern Drive and I am going to remove the engine. My
book say's to pull upper drive out and then the engine. My wiring is
all over the place and now it looks like it is not possible if it is
up. Any advise please.
Dual filter setup pix sought11 May 2006 03:36 GMT22
As I work my way back from the bow (the bulkhead forward of the
saloon), being almost finished in there, my thoughts turn to what's
ahead (or behind/astern, as you prefer).
I succeeded in buying a second Racor on eBay, and two mounted 2-way
1" Fiberglass Tape: Sources?09 May 2006 21:49 GMT5
Anybody got an online supplier that they like?
I'm looking around, but not seeing much.  One outfit only sells it in 5'
lengths.
I need 40 linear feet of the stuff - so a 50-foot roll would probably be ideal.

Repair question08 May 2006 21:58 GMT2
Hi, I just bought a 17ft sailboat (my first boat), but it has some hull
damage from a hurricane smashing it into a dock.  My plan is to grind
it down to clean glass (and 4 inches all around it) and lay cloth in
layers with epoxy on the outside of the hull.
Strength: Folded-Up Cloth vs Loose Fibers?08 May 2006 17:49 GMT6
Surf ski (long, skinny sit-on-top kayak).
The deck is bonded to the hull by what looks like fiberglass mixed with
polyester resin.   The bonding stuff is about 1/8" thick.   Can't tell if
there's a flange yet.
How a Flip Flop Seat Mounted on Deck?08 May 2006 15:18 GMT3
I am about to remove a flip-flop bench seat in order to check the
condition of the deck underneat the seat.  But before I do that, I want
to make sure I know how to mount it back on the deck.  Therefore, I
want to know how it was installed in the first place.

Help identifying galvanized tank03 May 2006 17:04 GMT1
Hi to all,
I'm currently converting my venerable gasoline boat to diesel and i thought
of reusing the fuel tank.  However,  a very clever person looking at my web
journal:   www.langevin.biz/marinette34/repowering.htm  pointed me about a
Trolling motor efficiencies02 May 2006 16:06 GMT2
Does anyone know anything about the true efficiencies (output power to input
power) of Minnkota or Motor Guide trolling motors. I have questioned reps of
both companies and they deny any knowledge of the efficiencies.
