Extended Cosine Wherry Question17 Aug 2006 20:34 GMT5
I asked this group before about extending a cosine wherry and got some
good responses. But I don't remember any comments regarding the beam
on it. I think I finally decided (but am still not 100% sure) that I
would like to make it 16' 3" instead of the original 14' design. With

Boat building, carpentry, and hearing13 Aug 2006 18:25 GMT9
I'm 17 and thinking about going to a wooden yacht restoration and
construction school. Some people have told me that this kind of work is
bad on your hearing, and I've read some stuff that says by age 25 many
carpenters have the hearing of a 50 year old. As a musician, I value my
American Boating & Yacht Council Standards, new or older for 1/16 the price  ?13 Aug 2006 17:32 GMT2
I'm looking to acquire a copy of the ABYC Standards and can buy a 1985
version for about $25 vs $400 to join and buy the latest.
My boat is not the latest anything, and having never seen a copy of the
standards,
17YO may go into boatbuilding12 Aug 2006 16:45 GMT1
After 40 years in the airline industry I retired and started a business
restoring classic wooden boats and I love it.  BUT...  I am happy that I'm
not dependent on that income to support me, it does provide nice mad money
however.  Pricing and collecting for your work is the most ...

On my 87 Searay I/O, my trim position indicator gage has stopped

problem?
