I've read the specs. for Coast Guard requirements and still have a
question with regards to batteries.
The starting battery is in the engine compartment.
The engine is a gasoline engine.
Restoration of 1970 Pipestone Marina Boat/140HP Mercruiser27 Feb 2008 13:41 GMT1
First, I have done a complete Net search with no luck.
I just bought a 1970, 17 foot, Pipestone Mariner fiber glass motor
boat to fix up. I cannot find any good info. on the net about these
boats. The engine, Merc. I/O 140 hp, is in good shape, and the boat is
Engine mount Minn Kota trolling motors.26 Feb 2008 20:37 GMT16
My first question is if anyone has used these type of trolling motors

"tent" type dinghy24 Feb 2008 05:17 GMT18
OK, I do not want an inflatable dinghy cuz they row poorly.  My

I own a Johnson 18 (http://www.johnson18.org/). Johnson Boat works
built this Rodger Martin design starting in 1995. In 1999 Johnson Boat
works sold the molds to Catalina, who has been sitting on them ever
since - and not building any boats. Current owners are hoping to grow
rig tension gauge10 Feb 2008 16:57 GMT12
I would like to buy a rig tension gauge for wires and rods up to 12mm
(15/32"). Tho most common I found on the market are for diameters up to
5mm (3/16") with the exception of a professional device for bridges,
elevators, etc. (Portable Cable Tension Meter for cables up to 7/8")
Sailboat fuel tanks06 Feb 2008 03:51 GMT7
I am installing a new engine in my Morgan OI41.  Since the main tank
(mounted on the stbd side against the hull) was 30 years old I decided
