My engine is not a real "marine" engine but comes from a car.

I've been watching the olympic swimming and notice that nearly all of

hi all im getting jigged up to do a SOF cat.
since i want to check some things prior to the build i am wondering if
anyone on this list has made a SOF cat or proa? also any ideas of the
hull dimensions for a cat that can take 5 or 6 folks on the trap along

Just verifying my standing rigging specs before approving my order and need
someone to confirm my calculations.  All the formulas I have found for
standing rigging loads are based on RM@30 but all I have is RM@1.  The
formula for RM is RM=Displacement*GM* SIN< but I don't have ...

Ok, I'm in the middle of a rebuild/repair on an aluminum boat.  I just
jerked the plywood sole out of it in order to replace it with aluminum
decking, and I found what looks like plant arranging foam between the ribs
for flotation.  It soure doesn't look or feel like a sealed ...

 does anyone know if there is the equivalent of a boat scrapyard in
the UK (prefereably in the southwest)? I need stacks of stuff like
pumps, portholes, roof vents and a multitude of nicknacks that will
seriously break the bank if I have to buy them all at chandlery

  I need to sort out my water tank issue - I'm doing up a barge that
has a ~3,000 litre PVC water tank. It doesn't fit out the door, and is
a bit big for my needs... There is a space under the bed in the bow
that would like to put the tank, only its a funny shape.
